Take the course and get your international Bareboat skipper sail license!
This is a beginner course that no requires basic skills.
The training includes:
- Access to the online Bareboat skipper sail course for 2 months on the Nautrain.com training platform for boaters
- Radio operator training
Logbook - 10 days of on-boat practice
- 14 hours of on-boat lectures
The theoretical course includes the topics:

Passage:
Three countries: Spain – Gibraltar – Morocco. Two continents: Europe, Africa. The Alboran Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Route: Sotogrande (Spain) – Gibraltar (UK) – Ceuta (Spanish territory on the African continent) – Tanger (Morocco) (or Tetouan) – Barbate (Spain) – Marbella (Spain) – Estepona (Spain)

- Yachting experience since 1986
- Qualification: Master of Yacht 200 tonn Unlimited, Yachtmaster Ocean instructor.
- Passed regions: USA, Canada, Australia, Madagascar, Seychelles, Bahamas, Bermuda, Cuba, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, Brazil, Caribbean, French Polynesia, Mediterranean Sea, North Sea, Baltic Sea.
- Repeated crossing of the Atlantic Ocean.
- Experience in preparing teams and yachts for transatlantic crossing.
- Experience in organizing regattas in different regions of our planet.

Price:
1380 euro
Separately paid: moorings in marinas, final cleaning, meals on the yacht, fuel. Approximately 150 – 250 euros.
Registration and sending of certificates: Bareboat skipper sail – 100 euros and radio operator – 50 euros.

How the training going on
- 2 months of theoretical training
You get access to the theoretical course "Bareboat Skipper Sail" on the training platform for boaters Nautrain.com. Access is available for two months. You study at a time that suits you. At the end of the class you take a test. You also get access to a VHF radio operator. You are assigned an instructor who supervises your training and answers any questions you may have.
- Boat handling practice
Start from Sotogrande. Each day the yacht makes a crossing to a new anchorage. The main emphasis is on mooring. Moorings in marinas are practiced. Control of the yacht under sail. We work out and practice each element, practicing skills.
- Navigation
Each day a preliminary navigational lay-out is made to the next parking place. Only paper maps are used. Afterwards, we make a route using navigation tools to determine our position.
- You're both sailor and captain
During training, all cadets switch roles and act as: sailor, captain, navigator (in charge of navigation).
- Summing up the day
In the evening we analyze the mistakes made during the school day.
- Exam trip
At the end of the passage, we set aside 3 days for a Exam trip. Why 3 days? Weather conditions vary and stormy conditions are not suitable for the initial qualification).
- What's included in an Exam trip
The cadet shall: make a navigational route, take the yacht out of the marina, during the route always know where the yacht is, be able to find its location, be able to set and retract sails, steer the yacht under sail, bring the yacht to the final point, moor it.
